The article /. refers to. Guy's got some good points, disagree with him though. Some really nice links from there.
I have offically lost all respect for Sun's attempt at a usability study. With more money, more time, and more 'experience' they turned out a report that, on a generous day, I might give a 4, for the 3rd level Human-computer interaction subject I did last semester. Seriously. I could do a better job, in a week, with pocket change. Hell, I *did*.
Oh, and the google of research papers: Citeseer. That's going to make my thesis a bit easier. Pity it's a bit late for my comp4401 assignment. Oh well, life sucks, deal with it.
Hmm, had my first v today for about...a year? since they distrubuted freebies outside the main refec when they first launched it, anyway. I think. Subway's drink machine was broken, so we got bottles instead...the only remotely drinkable thing left was v. Pepsi was paying, so i thought, why not. Then i took a swig, and remembered, why not. OTOH, I'm now more awake than i've been for about a week.
my train of thought just got derailed. guess it's time to post this now.
